Lisa Arose, the Executive Chef and Owner of Arose Foods Personal Chef & Catering Service, worked in health research, communications and consulting for 10 years before trading in her laptop for her chef knife. Since she was a teenager, Chef Lisa has loved to cook and entertain, often catering the parties of her family and friends. She has always used the sharing of food as a vehicle to bring family and friends together, and now she helps her clients to do the same by reviving the long-lost family dinner and making fabulous parties easy.

Chef Lisa approaches cooking and entertaining with a generous spirit and a sense of humor. Chef Lisa believes local, organic ingredients and simple recipes let food shine and make people happy. Virginia has had a long and creative career as a chef. She began cooking at the age of 3, under the tutelage of her mother, who taught her the importance of cooking and baking from scratch, and using fresh ingredients. Chef Virginia is a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy and a member of the United State Personal Chef Association, as well as the Puget Sound Personal Chef Association.

Chef Virginia has many years of experience in the food industry as a chef, baker and caterer. Although self-trained, she has taken many culinary classes, and apprenticed under talented chefs. Her cooking style is eclectic, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients, creative food pairings, and an attention to detail.

An enthusiastic baker, she regularly experiments with artisan breads, and keeps a sour dough starter going in her home refrigerator. Her garden provides year-round fresh, organic herbs. Chef Virginia is committed to providing the best, most flavorful and healthy food possible.

She holds her masters degree in education and has had further training from Seattle Arts Institute and San Antonio Culinary School. Originally from Florida, Wendy learned the culinary traditions of the Southern U.S. as well as the flavors of the Caribbean at an early age. She began cooking as a child under the tutelage of her grandmother. After an early start in the restaurant industry, Wendy pursued academic studies; she holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Washington. Folllowing the completion of her studies, Wendy lived and worked in Europe for five years, where she absorbed the culinary cultures of Scandinavia, Italy and France . Her related interests include regional cuisines, food chemistry, recipe development and nutrition.

Since returning to Seattle in 2005, Wendy has established Leave It to Wendy Personal Chef Service. She is a member of the U.S. Personal Chef Association and a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy . Wendy's philosophy is that a variety of delicious, interesting and fresh foods is the best means to healthy eating. Marci Emery is chef and owner of Marcel’s Personal Chef Service. She wanted to be a chef all her life, so after she graduated from high school in Europe, she attended John Brown University and earned a degree in Food Technology and Nutrition. Since then, she has taken a number of continuing education courses and graduated from the Culinary Business Academy in California.

Marci has worked in virtually every area in the culinary industry throughout her career, advancing from server to chef in venues from Pennsylvania to Washington. She served, created, cooked, designed, fried, baked, sautéed and grilled her way through restaurants, country clubs, diners, markets and churches, and truly enjoyed every experience. Marci feels very fortunate to work in this industry, whether it means cooking for intimate parties or preparing multicourse dinners for hundreds; as long as people need food, she will be delighted to work with it!

Betsy is a Certified Personal Chef and past-president of the USPCA's Puget Sound chapter, a post she held for four years. Her self-taught culinary skills span more than 30 years, and her formal training includes a weeklong "boot camp" at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, classes at Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa and several cooking series with the Bon Vivant Cooking School in Seattle. She is also a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy in Phoenix. In addition to her personal chef and in-home catering business, Betsy served as the on-board chef for the MV Olympus for a weeklong charter through the San Juan Islands & Victoria, BC in September 2003. Karen Rosenzweig is a past President of the Puget Sound chapter of the USPCA. She is a former public relations professional who left the corporate world behind to pursue her love of cooking and start her own personal chef business in May 2004. She has been cooking for family and friends since she was 10 years old, and continues to hone her culinary skills by taking advanced cooking classes, working with other chefs and constantly watching The Food Network!
